Hey everyone. Hope this site takes off. I'm a 14-year fan who has enjoyed the various incarnations of the band. Started seeing them in Minneapolis in the early 90s and then moved west and now enjoy shows in the Bay Area, Santa Barbara, etc. I'm always looking for tabs, live shows, and information on how Sean got his old guitar to sound the way it did. I have a PG-380 as well as a JC 120 so it would be great to get information from any guitar freaks out there!

Favorite show venues have been: Double Diamond in Aspen, Fox Theater in Boulder, First Avenue in Minneapolis, Ranch Bowl in Omaha, Belly Up in San Diego/Solana Beach, and the Crystal Ballroom in Portland. Oh, and outdoors in the Tech Center area of Denver.

My first comment on the site was a bit rowdy, which is not like me. I used to temper the rowdy ones on the UP message board. Apparently I'm getting crotchety in my old age!!! Cheers

What do you think of that springy floor at the Crystal Ballroom? I'm Ben, unoffical greeter. Hope you like the site so far. It seems to be out in the stream, so we'll see what happens. Sounds like you've been to some killer venues. I've never see The Samples outdoors. Maybe next time, if they'd set a NW date.
