Welcome! Wikis are websites that everyone can build together. It's easy!

Helping Out

Adding stuff to the site is so easy your grandmother could do it after after a J. This is a new site and we need lots of help. If you love The Samples, you have something to offer.

You can add to any page by signing in and clicking EasyEdit. The page will become editable like a word processor. You can add pictures, videos, and links to either other pages on Underwater People or even other sites. You can format pages with fonts, bullets, tables, whatever. Just use the EasyEdit toolbar.

PeaceGo ahead, try it!

Don't worry about speling, looks, or anything else. Other people can come in later and clean things up if they want. That stuff's not important anyway. Just ask Seany Boy. Your presence, your ideas, and the fact that you're contributing are what matter.

What You Can Do On the Site

  • Things that take less than a minute:

    • Start a conversation! Just make a comment on any of the pages and see what happens. If you make a comment on someone's profile page, they'll even get an email letting them know they have a message waiting.
    • Continue a conversion! Find a comment that interests you and put your 2 cents in. Every page on the site has comments at the bottom.
    • Upload a photo/avatar for your profile page. Put a face to that name. Go to your profile page (click on your username in the bar at the top of the screen), and click "add image."
    • Upload a Samples photo or two. You have lots of choices here. Take a look at our photos FAQ for help on posting pictures from either your own collection or ones you find elsewhere on the web.

  • Things that take less than 5 minutes:

    • Start filling out your profile page. We'd like to know a little bit about everyone, and your profile page is the perfect place to tell us. You can add pictures, rss feeds...or anything else.
    • Write a short album description. Can you capture the essence of an album in a few short sentences? Go to the discography page and go for it. Make sure you're signed in, click EasyEdit, and start typing!
    • Tell us what else you're listening to. We know you're listening to The Samples, but do you have any other favorite bands we might like? Go here, click EasyEdit, and let us know.

What You Can Do Off the Site

  • Link your site to Underwater People. This is a super-important and easy thing to do. The more links we have pointing to us, the more we'll show up in search results and the more Samples fans we'll attract. If you have a blog, myspace page, or some other website, you can put the following html code in your page to create the link:
    • <a href="http://www.underwaterpeople.net>Underwater People</a>

  • Tell your friends about the site! Simple and easy.

  • Support The Samples! Haven't been to a show in a while? Go! Haven't heard "Rehearsing for Life" yet? Buy it! Check out The Samples' Country Store for music and swag.

  • Promote Underwater People on message boards and forums. We're not talking spamming, folks. But if you're on a forum where people are talking about The Samples, let people know we're here. The more the merrier.
