How to add a Video

  1. Start on the "Samples Video" page. (You can find this in the Navigation menu to the left.) From there, click on "Add a new page" in the Page Toolbox on the right. The "Add a Page" dialogue box will appear. Type in a name for your page. (This will appear in the site's navigation.) (Also - you may choose to assign keyword tags so your page will be easier for other site visitors. Enter as many relevant tags as you like, separating each one with a comma.) Under the "Start with a template" option, select "Blank Page" (the default). Click "Add page."
  2. You are now at the new page you just created and have a blank canvas to add your video. To add a YouTube™ or Google video to a page, you need to (once again) click on "Edit the content" option in the Page Toolbox on the right. The toolbar will appear.
  3. Place your cursor where you'd like to display your video, and click on the "Widget" button in the toolbar.

  4. How to add a Video - Underwater PeopleHow to add a Video - Underwater People Select either YouTube Video or Google Video. The "Add Video" dialog will appear.
  5. Paste in the URL or the Embed code from the video into the open text field and click "Add Video." For more information on uploading videos visit the YouTube help center or the Google help center. (If you are adding YouTube video, paste the Embed code from the YouTube page. Do not paste the URL.)
  6. After you've added your video, an "Edit Video" dialog will appear. You do not need to do anything here. Simply click "done." NOTE: You cannot view the video while you are editing the page; instead you will see an icon that represents your video. Your video will be viewable only after you save the page.
  7. You should still see the "EasyEdit Toolbar" at the top. Use the button at the top right of the toolbar to center your image.
  8. Add any text you'd like to your page.
  9. Click on "Save" to save your page. Before leaving your page, select and copy the URL (web page address) for the page you just created. (In your browser, highlight the web address at the top of your screen. Right click, and choose "copy.")
  10. Next you will add a link to your new video page from the "Samples Video" main page. Again, starting with the "Samples Video" page, select "Edit the Content" in the box on the right. The "EasyEdit Toolbar" will appear at the top.
  11. Place your cursor on the page where you want the link to your page to appear. In the "EasyEdit Toolbar," select the "Link" box. The "Add a Link" dialogue box will appear. Enter the text you want to appear on the "Samples Videos" page. Next , paste the copied URL in the "Link to" field. (Click in the box next to "Link to," right click, and select "paste." Finally, click on "Add Link" and you're done!
